Applications of Longwave Infrared Heating in Spray Shops
The Pubsun IR has been used in Sprayshops for over forty years, both in a “flash off” role, but more commonly, as a general Spray Shop heating system in Spray Shops and Drying Rooms. They are undisputedly, the best Spray shop heaters in the world.
As all Sprayshop managers know, the biggest enemy of most paint systems, for example, nitrocellulose, is moisture content in the air, or dampness. Nitrocellulose is water miscible, this means that the “un-flashed off” wet film of lacquer or paint, will pull any moisture present in the atmosphere into itself. This causes both “chilling” and “blooming” and is a heavy cost to the operator in terms of re-sanding and re-spraying.
The Pubsun’s moisture destroying capability sets it apart from any other heating system. Also, through a combination of longwave radiant heat, together with ambient build up, the correct temperature range is achieved, so that the paint is able to dry within the design parameters of the product data sheet.

Spray Training
